Terms of Service

Short version: APIFlow Studio is free, open source (MIT licensed), and provided as-is. Use it responsibly, don't abuse the shared proxy, and don't send production secrets through a public proxy you don't control.

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using APIFlow Studio at apiflowstudio.onrender.com or by self-hosting the software, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. What the Service Is

APIFlow Studio is a browser-based API testing client, synthetic mock server, and webhook testing tool. It is open source under the MIT License. The hosted version at apiflowstudio.onrender.com is provided free of charge with no uptime guarantee. The project is maintained by one person on a best-effort basis.

The proxy at /proxy is a shared convenience service provided to bypass browser CORS restrictions during API development and testing. You acknowledge:

APIFlow Studio is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee uptime, data persistence, or that the service will be free of errors. The hosted service runs on Render's free tier and will experience cold-start delays (up to 60 seconds after inactivity) and occasional downtime.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Yash Padaliya and the APIFlow Studio project contributors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

7. Intellectual Property

APIFlow Studio's source code is licensed under the MIT License. You are free to fork, modify, and self-host it. The APIFlow Studio name and branding are the property of the creator and may not be used to misrepresent a derivative work as the original project.

8. User Content & Data

You retain full ownership of any API collections, environments, mock scenarios, or other content you create in the app. Because all data is stored locally in your browser (IndexedDB), we have no access to it and no obligation to back it up or restore it.

We reserve the right to block access to the hosted proxy service for any user or IP address that violates these terms or abuses the shared infrastructure, without prior notice.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from your use of this service shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Gujarat, India. Users in other jurisdictions may have additional rights under their local laws that are not affected by this clause.

12. Children

APIFlow Studio is a developer tool not intended for use by children under 16 (the EU threshold) or under 13 (the US COPPA threshold). We do not knowingly provide the service to minors.
